Case Study - Optus Bring Your Own SIM plan table design
The project
Optus decided to decouple handset and phone plan pricing. The objective was to clearly show the price breakdown for customers. I was involved in the Optus Choice and BYO (Bring Your Own) plan page design, focusing on the device detail, plan table and summary sections. I collaborated closely with the UX designer, developer, testing and copywriter.
Design brief
The design of the BYO plan page needed to give customers greater flexibility and help them find a plan that will fit with their budget and usage needs.
How I did it
A lot of information needed to be presented to the user, and it was a design challenge to fit this into a single mobile screen view. A number of different designs were developed, which were then user-tested.
Final design
The outcome was an intuitive design for users and was also met with good feedback from senior stakeholders.
